Innocence

Oil on canvas, 40 x 50 cm

Unlike many of Katherine’s other bold and bright paintings, Innocence has a soft and delicate colouring and fine lines. The subject seems naive, unaware of her allure as she leaves the viewer behind, tantalising as she holds fragile flowers so gently in her hand. But no part of her is turned back to call the viewer in or see how she affects you. She is unashamed, and she is not naked for you. She is leaving.
